Lead Interpreter
Job Purpose
Responsible for overall operation, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Interpreter Services department. Reporting
to the Interpreter Services Supervisor, the Interpreter Team Lead plays a crucial and sensitive role in the function of
CyraCom International, Inc. The Interpreter Team Lead must have and maintain a high level of skill, proficiency, and professionalism
in the business and technical aspects of the Interpreter Services function. Due to the sensitive nature of much of the information
processed by this position, a high degree of Integrity and Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of interpreters
- Inform interpreters of policies and procedures
- Report all phone / client problems to Interpreter Services Supervisor.
- Track employees attendance and work hours and report to management
- Random monitor and report Interpreters’ performance during calls

If Interpreter Services coordinates an Onsite Project, the Interpreter Team Lead with charge of the EI assigned would be
notified for schedule purposes and for follow up to make sure all assignment requirements are met.
- Complete client complaint reports for Interpreter Services Supervisor.
- Responsible for coaching interpreters on changes that need to be made in their performance

Have periodic meeting with interpreters to keep them fully informed of changes and policies and items having to do with
center.
- Support and nurture interpreters.
- Develop a safe and professional work environment
- Provide interpreting service at least 50% of time.
Marginal Responsibilities:
- Assist the VP of Operations or the Interpreter Services Manager with special projects.
- Upon Supervisor's approval, may assist Testing & Training Manager in Nogales office
- Assist in development of system upgrades for interpreter workforce mgmt, training systems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to organize and plan work adhering to priorities and deadlines;
ability to prioritize and delegate multiple work projects; strong attention to detail; excellent two-way communication,
judgment, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to position;
ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities; ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency
situations; excellent presentation skills and ability to favorably represent the company. Ability to communicate effectively
with all clients. Knowledge in using word processing and spreadsheet programs. Basic understanding of linguistics and different
cultures. Basic understanding of interpretation protocol and code of ethics.
Education/Training:
Bachelors Degree in translation, interpretation, linguistics, English or
other related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Fluent bi-lingual
speaker and experience as a working consecutive interpreter.
Experience:
Three years experience in a supervisory position. Past work experience as an actual
interpreter or related experience required.

Physical Demands:
Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Requires use
of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties. Occasional lifting and carrying of material weighing
up to 20 pounds may be required.
Equipment Operated:
Telephone, personal computer with spreadsheet and word processor software, printer, Fax machine, and copier.
